The winter night sky is upon us. Join Lane Pierce and members of the Springfield Astronomical Society to gaze around the night sky.
Some of the most beautiful star clusters, nebulae and galaxies are visible this time of year. Lane Pierce and members of the Springfield Astronomical Society will provide sky maps, teach you how to use binoculars to look around the winter sky and demonstrate several phone applications for stargazing.

Located on the corner of Brentwood Boulevard and Seminole Street, one block east of the intersection of Glenstone Avenue and Seminole Street, the Schweitzer Brentwood Branch Library, renovated in 2016, has served southeast Springfield since 1971. The branch, convenient to such popular shopping centers as the Plaza, Brentwood Center, Battlefield Mall and Primrose Marketplace, is popular with young and old alike.
