Enjoy a relaxing afternoon exploring the Oceania–Pacific region.

Sit back, relax and explore a new place on the third Thursday of each month.

Library staff member Jessica Kershner recounts memories from her three-week journey in 2023, from Australia’s winter to Hawaii’s summer, just 10 hours apart. Hear the highlights of island hopping, including wildlife sightings, local culture, unique foods and notable landmarks.

About the branch

Located on the corner of Brentwood Boulevard and Seminole Street, one block east of the intersection of Glenstone Avenue and Seminole Street, the Schweitzer Brentwood Branch Library, renovated in 2016, has served southeast Springfield since 1971. The branch, convenient to such popular shopping centers as the Plaza, Brentwood Center, Battlefield Mall and Primrose Marketplace, is popular with young and old alike.
